An AI agent is a broad term for any task completed using AI. From drafting an email to qualifying a lead.

The agent receives an input (a trigger, a request or a piece of data), uses AI to decide what to do, and then takes action.There are two main flavours:

Deterministic agents follow a defined workflow. Tools like n8n connect steps in a predictable order, with AI used at specific decision points.

Agentic agents are more autonomous. Models like Claude can use connectors to choose tools, take actions and adapt as they go.

We prefer the latter.

In the early days, agents were limited to a chat box, useful for answers, but not for outcomes.

The more tools you connect, the more an agent can actually get done.

It depends on which route you take. If you use one of our pre-built agents through our agents-as-a-service model, there's no build cost, we simply charge a fee per usage. Simple, predictable, and you start getting value from day one.

If you'd prefer a custom agent built inside your own environment, pricing depends on complexity, how many systems it needs to connect to, the depth of the workflow, and whether the right data is available to train the agent properly. We'll scope it together upfront, so there are no surprises.

AI automation is the use of artificial intelligence to handle tasks and workflows that would otherwise require human time and judgement. It goes beyond traditional automation, which follows fixed rules, by adding the ability to interpret, decide and adapt as situations change.
